SUMMER

This summer has been relaxing and crazy all at the same time. I started out the summer by spending two weeks in California. I was ready for sun and swimming! When I got back from California I decided to organize each room of my house. I got a few of my rooms done and then......

Last Thursday (July 15), I woke up with a slight stomach ache. I had Savana and Sutton over and we were going to go swimming in my pool. I don't know how I made it, but I did take them to the store to buy swimming toys. When we got back home, I told them i needed to rest for a few minutes before we walked to the pool. Around noon, I ended up having Savana call my dad. I couldn't move-I was in so much pain. My dad left my mom at her doctor's appointment to take me to mine. The doctor said it could be appendix, gall bladder, or kidney stone. She sent me to Davis Hospital for a CT scan. I had to drink contrast for an hour and a half so I didn't finish with the test until a little after four. I called the doctor's office to let them know I had finished my CT scan and the nurse told me the doctor was already on the phone with the doctor that read my scan. The doctor called me back five minutes later telling me that I needed to have my gall bladder out immediately. I got back in the car and my mom drove me up to the hospital. I first met with the surgeon. He said that you usually cannot see an inflamed gall bladder on a ct scan - but he could tell mine was inflamed, which meant it was bad. The surgeon walked me to the third floor to be admitted to the hospital. I went for surgery around seven that evening. He kept me for the night and I came home (my parents house) the next morning to recover. I have some pretty nasty pictures-but don't worry I won't post them! I didn't expect to have my gall bladder out this summer-but I guess it was good timing since I am off work.

I am starting to reach that bored stage - I don't feel good enough to do anything, but tired of just sitting here. Even though this has been rough, it gave me an opportunity to post something on my blog.

Happy summer to everyone!
